Last month, Toronto police uncovered a 33-foot-long tunnel that had been dug underground near one of the venues for the Pan American Games, a sporting event scheduled for summer 2015. They were puzzled and disturbed, suspecting that the structure might have been created for terrorist or criminal purposes. The police asked the public to help them identify the person responsible.
“With the enormous interest generated by the media, police received information on Friday, February 27, 2015, which enabled investigators to identify two men,” stated an official police press release.
Two men came forward and admitted having built the tunnel to be used as a “man cave.”
The Toronto Police have concluded “there was neither criminal intent nor any threat to the people or city of Toronto.” The names of the two have yet to be released by authorities. They will not be facing any criminal charges.
